The course materials, including the Natural Perfumer Manual, are designed to provide a solid foundation for practical learning of natural essences, isolates, and absolutes. These carefully selected essences are for theoretical and hands-on experience in fragrance composition, such as alcohol—understanding and alcohol-free, solid, and oil perfumes and cosmetic fragrances. It’s a journey of discovery and creation, crafting perfume from the start. It is filled with many practical assessments!
Once you are done, you can level up your knowledge and sharpen your skills with the three one-on-one mentorship sessions.

Learn the fundamentals & all what you need!
- You will discover how to evaluate scents, distinguish the different facets and notes, and how to build a harmonious scent using different methods
- You will learn how to create the structure of a natural perfume to make it rich, balanced, and distinctive, according to various neutral bases available in natural perfumery.
- You will gain in-depth knowledge of the olfactory qualities and details of each ingredient, including absolutes, essential oils, and natural isolates.
- You will know how to set up your lab and use the proper materials to create natural perfumes.
- You will learn to compose a natural perfume (concrète de parfum), natural fragrances compositions in various intensities (eaux de Cologne, eaux de toilette, eaux de parfum), in alcohol and solid form, plant-based oil and alcohol-free base.
- You will learn ancient natural recipes used in the history of natural perfumery throughout the ages that made natural perfumery a sacred art in Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, India, France, and beyond.
The Logistics
- Once the payment is processed, you will receive an email with the welcome video, the Natural Perfumer Manual (nearly 300 pages), a starting guide, and three bonus ebooks: Alcohol Quality in Natural Perfumery + the Glossary of Perfumery Terms
- You will receive the Guidebook via a WeTransfer link. The Natural Perfumer Manual is printable, and it includes seven chapters, which are sent separately for more convergence. Each chapter is beautifully presented and illustrated.
- Remember, Françoise Rapp is available anytime throughout the process to answer your questions and concerns.

Françoise Rapp is an expert teacher with more than 25 years of experience in the field, and she will be on hand to guide you every step of the way.
The starting guide you will receive once you enroll explains everything so you can start well. You can purchase some materials at a time, but at least have 15 basic materials on hand. In the starting guide, the material and trusted suppliers are listed and imaged (just to be sure that there is no mistake!).

Yes, we are international, and people sign up from all across the globe; however, please note that the course workbook is delivered in English only.
Everyone has a busy schedule, and we like to leave our students to study at their own pace.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing no later than two weeks before the start date of the course to be eligible for a refund, less a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellations received less than two weeks prior to the start date of the course, but 72 hours before the start of the course are eligible for a refund less 20% of the full registration price. Failure to appear at the program with no written cancellation 72 hours prior to the program will result in complete forfeiture of the registration fee. Registrations are non-transferable. Cancellation requests must be received in writing by email to contact@francoise-rapp.com and Françoise will reply with a written acknowledgement.
